ASE’s European Documentation Center

The European Documentation Center has been operating within the ASE Central Library since 2009, following the signing of a cooperation agreement with the European Commission.
In 2018, the agreement with the European Commission was renewed.
ASE’S EDC is organized in a distinct space in the ASE Central Library (Ion. N. Angelescu Building, within the Paul Bran reading room, floor 2, room 0219) and ensures optimal and efficient conditions for info-documentary services and electronic access to information and documents of the European Union.

ASE’s EDC Objectives

  • Promoting EU activity and publication through various communication channels;
  • Establishing a collection of documents and information on the work of the EU (publications from the full spectrum of European Union activity and European development policy);
  • Access to collections, information and electronic documents for all categories of users;

Services available within the center

Collections Available in ASE’s EDC

  • Books and periodicals provided free of charge through the Publications Office of the European Union

  • The list of materials from the collection of the Publications Office of the European Union, available in CDE ASE can be accessed HERE.

  • Books with European themes (printed format) – purchased from publishing houses in the country and abroad.
  • General information resources on the European Union: brochures, flyers, leaflets, posters.
