Login on the library platform

The ASE Library offers users a wide range of electronic, online and interactive services with authentication on the library platform.

Log in
A number of services and features are available on the library portal with Authentication by accessing the “Log in” option.

Create account

If there is no registered account, internal library users may create an account on the library platform with the institutional email address within “Create account” option.
Authentication is required only for functionalities and services associated with the account.

Services available online, through authentication

Authentication is compulsory when account-specific functionality is required: My Account, Saved Searches, Personal Lists, Reservations, Recommendations, Transactions, Penalties, Withholdings, Loan Exceedances, Penalties, Lost items, Library Activity History, Loans, Room Retrieval, Reservation, Statistics, Messages.

In the Messages section, users have the opportunity to manage messages, as well as Online Forms for electronic services provided by the library:
  • Request assistance / Bibliographic research
  • Purchasing recommendations
  • Request borrowing books
  • Request interlibrary loan
  • Book a place
  • Other. Ask a librarian

User account

  • Personal details
  • Profile editing
  • Messages (the integrated library system has an internal messaging system that allows sending and receiving messages among system users and receiving automatic messages generated by the system: loans, reservations, penalties etc.).
  • Online forms (features that allows users to send requests for library products or services)
  • Saved searches (the user can save searches, view or delete them, set saved searches to be public or private. Via RSS the user can subscribe to any search to follow new entry titles that match the specified search criteria)
  • Ratings
  • Recommendations
  • Transactions (information about the user’s transactions: loans, reservations, withholdings, overdue loan terms, penalties, lost, returned, history of all transactions)
  • Withholding (transactions that are made automatically by the system when a reserved item is checked-in the library. The system holds the item, notifies the user who made the reservation, and keeps the item an established period of time for the user to come to the library to borrow it).
  • Lost (this feature displays all titles declared lost, if so. Such transactions generate penalties).

Access the Online Library

Authentication on the library platform is also needed for accessing some electronic or digital materials, publications and resources available for online reading only with authentication.
